Client Certificate validity check using Site24x7 Server Agent

The s24x7 server agent needs to be able to check and alert on the expiry date of specific CLIENT certificates - used for authentication - in local/personal/etc stores on the server which the agent is running.

Hi,

Please find attached the plugin to check client certificate validity. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Download and unzip the file attached (sslcertificate_validator.zip) in the location of your choice.
  2. Edit the file (sslcertificate_validator.py) and provide your certificate file location in the server.
  3. Execute the plugin as python sslcertificate_validator.py and check whether the certificate information is printed.

If the result is successful, please download the Site24x7 Linux agent and place the downloaded folder inside the Site24x7 agent directory to start monitoring. Learn more.

For any further queries, comment in the below thread.

Regards

Sriram

Hi

This does not provide a solution to the OP - they asked for the check to work against the SSL cert store, not a file in the file system..and I now need exactly the same functionality; to check the validity of a client certificate imported in to a (windows) certificate store. how can this be done ?

Yes, we need a monitor that will alert on Windows certificates expiration dates.
