This is about being able to clone an exsisting template. For example,
* Threshold and Availability profile for ELB can be cloned and made into a threshold profile for an ALB with different thresholds
* Threshold and Availability profile for a web server can be cloned and made into an SQL threshold profile witih different thresholds
* Threshold and Availability profile for RDS for Prod can be clones and made into an RDS Stage threshold profile with different thresholds

Thanks for your feedback here. I understand the ease of use of having the profiles cloned. Will have this discussed internally and add it to our feature roadmap. However, we won't be able to give you a timeline for this.

This would indeed be very useful. Threshold profiles are a bit of a pain to work with now. Both within a customer account (no way to clone), but also between customer accounts in an MSP setup. Deploying the new CRITICAL status on all our customer accounts was... hell. It would be nice if default thresholds could be managed on MSP level.
