Would it be possible to change the persistent alerting so we could set separate settings for each alert type? So we could have persistent alerts very frequently for down/critical but not have them for trouble alerts?

The current persistent alert configuration in Site24x7 applies a single re-notification interval across all alert types. There is no option today to set different frequencies for Down/Critical versus Trouble alerts separately.
This has been noted as a feature request for alert-type-level persistent alert configuration and may be considered in a future release. Supporting separate re-notification intervals per severity would give teams much better control over alert fatigue without the risk of missing critical issues.
