Monitor active directory

Hi,

How do I monitor Active Directory on a Hyper-V server that already has a 24/7 agent installed on it?

Greetings!

Our Site24x7 Server monitoring agent auto-discovers Active Directory for monitoring if it is installed on the Active Directory domain controller.

Once you have installed the agent on the Active Directory domain controller, log in to Site24x7 and go to Server > Server Monitor > Servers > click on the associated Windows server monitor > hover on the hamburger icon beside the display name > click  Discover Applications.

For more information of Active Directory monitoring, please refer to our help document

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Happy monitoring!

Hi MeniS,

The alert you have received indicates that you have exhausted your advanced monitor licenses.

Please add sufficient advanced monitor licenses and try again. That will definitely help.

Let us know if you need any assistance and we are more than happy to assist.

Happy monitoring!

Can I extract data from the Active Directory monitor?

Such as the names and number of users on a specific OU to a CSV file or something similar?

Greetings!

We do not provide "user based reports" for Active Directory yet, MeniS.

We do have performance related reports for you to access and yes, you can retrieve them in CSV, PDF formats, and also through e-mail.

Listing the reports we support for Active Directory monitoring:

  • Summary Report
  • Availability Summary Report
  • Busy Hours Report
  • Health Trend Report
  • Performance Report

Will these be of help to you?

Best regards,
Geo
