sometimes we have a CPU spike for a server. Or because of nightly batch jobs we see for a period of time a higher I/O or memory consumption.
To not always raise an alarm it would be nice if a blackout feature exists to specifiy scheduled or one time blackouts.
It should be possible to configure such blackouts for specific monitor, specific attributes (IO/, CPU...) or group of monitors.
Setting maintenance as an alternative to balckouts seems to not be helpful for us because it has impact of availability reports/statistics and the combination of StatusIQ.
Makes sense?

Is this for certain set of servers or for all? From what you have explained it looks like there are some known anomalies that will occur in your environment and you don't want alerts for them. Is my understanding right?

correct. Sometimes a server, sometimes a group of servers.
Let's assume it happens always in the night for few minutes that a server goes to 100 percent cpu and there is now way to solve this issue (add CPUs or tune the application).
Or it is high I/O because of concurrent tasks and there is also no way to tune this. Then we do not like to be alerted for this period of time.
The blackout time should be calculated as uptime, or?

From the answer you've given above it looks like a season change every night.
We are working on an AI feature which will have dynamic threshold capability for thresholds. If the anomalous behavior happens every night then our Anomaly Engine will learn this as a seasonality which will result in the alert noise reduction you want.
However, if its a new trend then we would monitor this for a certain period of time until we update our models. If not, we will consider them as temporary anomalies and would still be alerted.
This feature is being pushed out in phases to customers. You will soon be hearing about the feature in detail.
