Shutdown VM when it is idle for some time

Dear Team,

We are looking for an option, when a VM is idle for x minutes it should be shutdown using IT automation on Site 24*7 and an email should be triggered to the respective team. This will help us a lot if we can get this feature available.

Please let me know for additional details.

Thanks

Ravindar

Ravindar,

Thanks for your requirement. Currently System-idle time is not monitored as part of Windows server monitoring in Site24x7. This requires some additional development efforts in our end to add this as part of our server monitoring, after which it can be supported for IT Automation. Hence, we do not have an exact timeline for supporting this feature.

However, Please follow this post and I will update here once this is supported.

Dear Murali,

Thanks for the reply. This would be great if you can introduce this feature as it saves a lot of money while using cloud environments (GCP, AWS and Azure VMs). So, we can use your product instead of looking for another tool for this requirement. I hope this will also help Site 24*7 to grow further.

Thank you,

Ravindar
