Hi,
We need the option to set more complex threshold and availability alerts.
For exmaple:
CPU Utilization threshold up to 70% - set as 'Possible Trouble' with a yellow background color
CPU Utilization threshold 71% to 85% - set as 'Trouble' with an orange background color
CPU Utilization threshold 86% to 100% - set as 'Urgent Trouble' with a red background color
Thanks!
Hi Asaf,
Thanks for raising this request. We have plans to provide more status in the product, thus you can define multiple levels of threshold alerts.
Can you let me know how do you think this should be reported in your reports ? Does that be reported as Trouble period or individual "Trouble" status should have separate mention in the report ?

Hi.
We also have a need for this sort of thing, and I was asked by support to raise it here as a feature request.
In our case we would need different types of alerts depending on threshold value and with different contacts - Warnings and Critical Alerts would be enough.
The best example I can think of is with Hard Drive usage thresholds. A warning would be sent to the whole team when usage reaches a certain point -say, 80% of HDD capacity , so the team can react and clear space before there is an issue.
And then have another type of alert when the issue is critical (95% of HDD capacity) - with the possibility to send it to a different recipient (the on-call team) to treat it as a critical issue.
I've looked into escalations, which would help a little, but apparently they don't work for 'trouble', only 'down' status monitors.
Thanks
Hi Chris,
Our apologies for the late reply. We are actively working on the design for this implementation. Once done, it will be taken for development.
Thanks for sharing the use cases with us. They are really helpful in getting this done.

The ability to set custom statuses for other monitor types would also be very useful.
For example, we would like the ability to define a content check string within a Website monitor that would set the monitor status to "Maintenance" or "Batch Running".
Hi,
First, some good news. We are adding another status, soon you will be able to choose the status and add another one for the same attribute. Its in active development.
Here is a sneak peak of the change that we are bringing in.
To answer your question of multiple status. We had thought of this but refrained from implementing it as we felt it will complicate things a lot more and hence we stuck with adding an additional status alone. However we'll add this to our roadmap and will revisit after sometime.
PS: I have answered regarding the status in this post as well.

Hi Folks,
We have released the feature and it is now live. You can now set critical status in addition to the trouble status for the same attribute based on conditions. You can read more about the feature where more uses cases have been mentioned for better usage of the feature in our announcement post here.
Feel free to post here some of the ways you will use multi-status feature, would be useful for the community.

Hi Jasper
The new Critical status is a great addition, is there any plans to introduce more flexibility on what alerts are received through a 3rd party integration?
For background, we use MS Teams integration but would only like to receive Critical and Down notifications and no trouble alerts but there is no options for this in the integration. Whereas if I look at user & alerts I can choose to receive alerts for specific scenarios. If you could add the below options to 3rd part integrations it would be awesome.
