Adding a Nutanix VM Monitor

Monitor Nutanix virtual machines (VMs) and obtain metric-level data on all components like CPU ready time, storage, memory, storage containers, virtual disks, and virtual NICs. You can also set thresholds and receive alerts when any of the thresholds are breached.

Prerequisites

Adding a Nutanix VM monitor

A Nutanix VM can be discovered automatically and added while adding a Nutanix Cluster monitor. While adding a Cluster, toggle to Yes, corresponding to Nutanix VMs, under Discover and Auto-add Resources.

To add a Nutanix VM monitor for an existing Nutanix Cluster monitor:

  1. Log in to your Site24x7 account.
  2. Click the name of your Nutanix Cluster monitor to open it in a new dashboard.
  3. In the monitor's dashboard, click on the hamburger icon near the name of the monitor, and click Edit
  4. In the edit monitor form that opens up, enable monitoring Nutanix VMs by selecting Yes under Discover and Auto-add Resources.
