Azure Continuous WebJob Monitoring Integration

WebJobs is an Azure App Service feature that allows you to execute a program or script in the same instance as a web app, API app, or mobile app. Continuous WebJobs are launched as soon as they're created, and they run in an infinite loop.

With Site24x7's integration, you can now monitor your WebJobs, get precise analytics, configure thresholds, automate tasks, and stay on top of outages.

Setup and configuration

You can add an Azure continuous WebJob while adding a new monitor or you can add it to an existing Azure monitor. Follow these steps to add the service.

Status

With Site24x7's Azure Continuous WebJobs monitor, you can track the status of your WebJobs in a five-minute interval.

Threshold configuration

Global configuration

  • Go to the Admin section in the left navigation pane.
  • Select Configuration Profiles from the left pane and choose the Threshold and Availability (+) tab from the drop-down menu. Click Add Threshold Profile from the top-right corner.
  • Set the monitor type as Azure Continuous WebJobs.

Monitor-level configuration

  • Go to Cloud > Azure and select Azure Continuous WebJobs from the drop-down menu.
  • Choose a resource for which you would like to set a threshold, then click the hamburger icon . Select Edit, which directs you to the Edit Azure Continuous WebJobs Monitor page.
  • You can set the threshold values by selecting Threshold and Availability. You can also configure IT automation at the attribute level.

IT Automation

Site24x7 offers a set of exclusive IT Automation tools to auto-resolve performance degradation issues. These tools react to events proactively rather than waiting for manual intervention.
