How to find the version of server monitoring agent installed on your server

The latest version of the server monitoring agent available for everyone through the general availability (GA) release is listed on our server monitoring agent release notes page. If you would like to view which server monitoring agent version is currently installed on your servers, follow the instructions in this help document.

Through the Site24x7 web interface

Follow the instructions below to view the version of server monitoring agent installed on your servers via the Site24x7 web interface.

View the agent version installed on all the servers

1. Log in to your Site24x7 account.
2. Click Reports on the left navigation pane and then click Server Monitor > Agent Inventory Report.
3. The Agent Inventory Report will list all server monitors and the versions of the server monitoring agents installed on them.

View the agent version installed on a specific server

1. Log in to your Site24x7 account.
2. Click Server on the left navigation pane and then select the server for which you would like to know the version of the server monitoring agent installed.
3. On the server monitor's home page, the version of the server monitoring agent installed on the server will be displayed next to the server monitor's display name.

Through the Control Panel

1. In your Windows server, open the Control Panel window.
2. Navigate to Programs > Programs and Features.
3. In the list of programs installed, the version column for Site24x7 Windows Agent will contain the version of the server monitoring agent installed.

Through the tray icon

1. In your Windows server, open the system tray.
2. Right-click the Site24x7 system tray icon and click View Agent Details.
3. The version of the server monitoring agent installed in your server will be displayed on the Agent Details window.

Linux

To view the version of the server monitoring agent installed in your Linux server, run this command in your Terminal window:

• Installed as root: cat /opt/site24x7/monagent/version.txt
• Installed as non-root: cat /site24x7/monagent/version.txt
